There's serious potential for the mimosa outside of girly-drink territory. With a base of grapefruit juice and sparkling wine, this drink becomes much more complex and savory with a dose of Cynar.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 ounce Cynar
  • 3 ounces freshly squeezed pink grapefruit juice from 1 to 2 grapefruits
  • 3 ounces chilled sparkling wine

Procedures

  1. Pour the Cynar then the grapefruit juice into a Champagne flute. Top with sparkling wine. Serve immediately.
